Motivation

In physics one is always endeavored to formulate a statement kovariant to seize i.e. her in such a way that it becomes independent of an arbitrary coordinate choice. This leads to the fact that physical dimension with mathematical concepts are described as for instance that of the tensor field.

We have however unfortunately neither sensory organs nor measuring instruments, in order to seize tensor fields directly more largely than zeroth stage. If we want a descriptive, i.e. our sensory organs accessible, and after-measurable, i.e. our measuring instruments accessible description of a physical procedure, then we must be content with the components of this tensor field, thus the projections on a freely selectable basis. That these -- in the reason of arbitrary -- do not have numbers for the understanding of physics large value, is clear.

In addition we must consider our kleinheit compared with the observation objects. We are not able to seize a tensor field as a whole. Directly accessible us only the value of the field, thus a tensor, is at which place, at which we are straight.

For a descriptive and kovariante description thus only tensors of zeroth stage remain for us, the scalars . More exactly said, scalar functions of the proper time of the observer. The sensory cells of our body are built, in order to register such scalars (temperature, brightness, volume...).

Since a scalar is simply a number and accordingly little information content has, the question, which sensory organ is best suitable, arises in order a large information capacity, consisting of many scalars, to take up.

The answer is clear. Our eye has some million sehzellen and is therefore in the situation,, to seize with a Blick`` some millions scalars. A picture taken up with the eye or a camera offers thus the covariance of a scalar with millionfold packing density.

If we consider still our ability to seize a temporal operational sequence we come to the following thesis:

A film taken up by a material or simulated movie camera is the best possibility of representing a physical procedure descriptive and kovariant.

Also, anschaulich`` it is meant that we the sensory organ with the largest packing density, which visual sense, with one of child legs at experienced method of the image processing, i.e., uses the collection of the space-time structure of our environment.

Also, kovariant`` it is meant that the representation is independent of a coordinate system, since only scalar sizes, brightness and color, are illustrated.

Thus a science-theoretical justification for out pure curiosity, play-rubbed and joy in multicolored pictures a work begun would be found.
