UP: Four-dimensional Ray Tracing in a Previous: Realization
Industrielle an application is naturally no longer conceivable in
our millenium. Within the range research and teachings I see however
the possibility of making the mathematically quite requirementful
realizations of the general relativity theory accessible a broader
public.
Thus the computed films were offered e.g. to the German museum and the Second Channel of German Television.
As
concrete example of use a video tape recording is attached to the work,
on which some the film sequences counted are to be seen:
- rotary neutron star with Akkretionssaeulen: The Akkretionssaeulen
consists of a luminescent gas, which falls freely falling on the
magnetic poles of the star. By the gravitative light diverson the
columns appear distorted. The different colouring is based on a
combination of gravitation red shift and by the high speed of caused
Doppler shift.
- Fast rotary neutron star: Here a physically correct
numerically computed Metrik was used, in order to compute the photon
courses. By the fast rotation (approx. 0.5ms scan time of a star with
11km radius) the rays of light, become mitgefuehrt``.
- Emergence of an Einstein ring. Massif if a Object, e.g. a
galaxy or a black hole stands exactly on the line between a star and
the observer, then the star lying behind can be called as ring,
illustrated, Einsteinring``, by its gravitation lens effect. In order
to make this effect clear, a black hole before a picture of Einstein
runs by in this film sequence.
- Instructional film for the German museum Munich (duration:
approx. 25min.). This, in co-operation with the German museum provided
film is to be seen there on in May 92 the again opened exhibition,
Astronomie``.
The program system was developed as ' play meadow '. I.e. it can be
integrated by its modular structure easily into different applications.
At present it is inserted at Institut for theoretical astrophysics
Tübingen use several projects:
- Visualization and computation of spectra of a Akkretionsscheibe
around a resting black hole (Schwarzschildmetrik), as well as around a
rotary black hole (Kerrmetrik).
- Visualization of the gravitational collapse of a reciprocal effect-free dust cloud.
